COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is designed to get fledgling or rusty writers to become more productive. Every person knows they ought to work “regularly”, but what does that really mean to your life? How do you become the productive, confident, flexible artist you want to be?

Part of the skill set being taught is to devise a schedule that the participant can and will adhere to. So, collecting data and insight and modifying the work plan is not just allowed, it is vital. By the end of the sessions, students will be their own best coaches, able to anticipate and accommodate the usual bumps in the road without giving up their practice. This class will be help transform the outlook and careers of filmmakers and screenwriters alike.

REQUIREMENTS: 
All students will be required to commit to creative practice for the entire session length. Anyone who fails to take on the task of working a minimum of 4-5 times per week is invited to come back to the course at a future date when they can give that commitment.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: 
After receiving her bachelor’s degree in English from Whitman College, Lisa Loop started as a public affairs functionary for the federal government. She left for Hollywood and worked for studios and production companies, where she wrote everything from screenplays to novels, from movie trailers to advertising copy. Surrounded by writers, actors, filmmakers, visual artists and uninhibited entrepreneurs, Lisa realized that the creative professions were her natural milieu. She received certification from the prestigious Coaches Training Institute in order to help people illuminate their visionary maps. It’s a calling she thoroughly enjoys.
