Instructor: Brian McDonald
Brian McDonald is the author of Invisible Ink: A Practical Guide to Building Stories that Resonate, and The Golden Theme. An accomplished screenwriter and director, Brian has taught and consulted, at Pixar, Disney and Industrial Light & Magic. His films include Flickering Memories, and the award-winning short film White Face, which sold to HBO.
In this class, we will focus on 3 Act Structure, Theme and utilizing Clone Characters. Students will learn how to construct acts that build upon each other and lead the story seamlessly forward. Over the course of the class students will get hands on experience writing a 1st, 2nd and 3rd Act and understand how Clone Characters can be utilized to support the theme.
